Does anyone here know whether WOL on this motherboard works with the
latest incarnation of openSuSE as I’ve never been able to get it working
with my current motherboard and it’s a feature I would find really
useful? I think the LAN chip is the Realtek 8168.
Similarly has anyone used one of these motherboards and had any problems
with the UEFI Bios or anything else for that matter.

Thanks for that - There’s quite a bit of info for me to get my head
round there

I also have a slightly different Gigabyte board. A Z87-P3HP and ith
works fine with openSUSE thru 13.2. My main disc and daily operations
disk is openSUSE 13.1. (See Below). I have had it for about 8 months, no
issues. I use the UEFI BIOS setup with GTP but have secure mode turned
off in the BIOS since I do not run any MS software.
Hope this helps you in looking at Gigabyte Board. before this board I
always specified Intel board. I would recommend another Gigabyte board.
