Geust Additions when using OpenSuse as a guest OS

Now, this may not be an openSuse problem but…
I’ve got openSuse installed as a guest OS in VirtualBox in an Ubuntu OS.
I have also installed (I think so anyway!!) the Guest Additions, thinking that I would be able to use my cursor seamlessly between Host and Guest.
However, this doesn’t work!
Anyway, how can I check that the GuestAdd has actually installed, and if so, why doesn’t it work the way I thought it would?

Cheers

It works as the same way on all guest/OS.

It can possibly be a problem with VirtualBox, but keep in mind Linux/OS doesn’t is supported by virtualbox with 3d, wifi and so on!!

I started with XP as guest on a suse 11.1 host. Early on i had it set to
use the right control key to toggle, then i found the setting again and
set it to smooth integration. I like smooth much better, the window
pointed to gets focus with any click.
