Getting tons of "SFW2-INext-DROP-DEFLT" in dmesg!

Any idea what this is from? Can I just stop it by adding the line “mdns off” in /etc/hosts.conf? And if so, what could this break?

That’s firewall output. You can control the verbosity in YaST -> Security -> Firewall and set amount of logging there
