Getting Skype to work on 12.1 64bit Gnome

Goto your package manager and add the following :

libasound2-32bit
xorg-x11-libXv-32bit
xorg-x11-libs-32bit
libqt4-32bit
libqt4-x11-32bit
libpng12-0-32bit
Then you can download the Skype client from their website and once you install, it should work. This worked for me.
The reason you need these is Skype is a 32bit application.

is yours different from the info at http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Skype ?
that is to ask: does that page now need updating?

I was asked by a few people about Skype install, I found the information and posted in a easy to read format. Some of my friends are new to Opensuse, so I was helping them and anybody else that needed it. I am trying to ease them into Linux without pointing them to that page , which I think is alittle intense for a new person. Also I am trying to get them used to using forums.
