Hello everyone, newbie here. I’m having some trouble figuring out what I need to download and/or do to get CeltX running on my machine.
What I’ve done already:
**Installed openSUSE 11.2 (64-bit) via DVD
**Updated all pre-installed libraries/programs via YaST
**Installed CeltX 2.7 (x86-64) via YaST (Webpin)
When I double-click/right-click->open CeltX, my machine thinks for a moment, then proceeds to do nothing at all. No errors, no messages, nothing.
Keep in mind, the CeltX installation went smoothly. I re-installed twice to confirm.
Try running it from the command line, i.e. open a terminal and type celtx. You may see some message about a library not being present or suchlike. Post that here and we’ll see what is wrong.
Mmmm, it posts different output on every start…Found out there’s a problem with libjemalloc.so, so linked that from the celtx libdir, no go. Than added /usr/lib/celtx to ld.so.conf, ran ldconfig, no go either.
I’m getting the same response as Knurpht. I’ve been seeing a lot of forums saying that CeltX has been crashing since the latest upgrade, so I’m wondering if this is more of a support problem on CeltX’s end.
Hi
I packaged that up three months ago as a test… If you download the
2.7 version from their website and unpack and cd to the celtx directory
and run the command;
../celtx
Works fine here on SLED11 x86_64. The other option is to download the
src rpm and rebuild that;
rpmbuild --rebuild celtx-2.7-5.1.src.rpm
sudo zypper in /usr/src/packages/RPMS/x86_64/celtx-2.7-5.1.x86_64.rpm
