Get OpenMosix with Yast

Hi,
i want to install openmosix.

someone told me is easier to do it with yast.

exactly,
where do i have to go in Yast in order to install openmosix?

thanks.

From what I see - it looks like a dead project

the thing is, that i need this for a college project.

so i have to make this work.

please any help is appreciated.

o, i forgot to say,
im using OpenSuse 11.3

You’ll have get the source and try and build it from there

ok, thanks,

but can you tell me how to search for openmosix with yast?

You can’t
Yast can’t install something or even find something that does not exist in the SUSE rpms

Here is the source:
openMosix | Download openMosix software for free at SourceForge.net

Here is a guide:
openSUSE software installation hints

You need the ‘Compile Yourself’ section

A search at software.opensuse.org: Search Results for “mosix” gives some packages, are they what you’re looking for?

gonna try this, thanks

going to check those, thanks

the thing is, that i saw someone a few days ago, with OpenSuse 11.3 search for mosix in Yast–Software—Software Management, and he could find mosix there.

so i dont understand why i cannot do the same thing.

maybe i dont have an online repository in my list or something?

It was like this
software.opensuse.org: Search Results

ok, thanks,
i see 5 differents kinds of downloads,
im downloading the first one, i hope its the right one

i have installed the five files:
http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6177/snapshot2f.png

and according to this guide:
http://www.mosix.org/pub/Guide.pdf

in page 21, they are talking of using the -mosrun- command.
im executing mosrun in Terminal, and it says: command not found.

whats going wrong here?

I’m not sure.
Your menu.lst is interesting, but it doesn’t show me what I thought might be there.
Sorry

just now, i downloaded a new version of mosix, from here:
MOSIX evaluation copy

and installed it.
Now the mosrun command is recognized in terminal.
So it seems that mosix is now properly installed.
thanks for all the help
