Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables XORG_CFLAGS
and XORG_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Any help is appreciated

No need to compile it yourself. Do 1-click install the driver from the openSUSE site. Just search for wizardpen.

syampillai thank you very very much.

Resurrecting this thread for 11.4

I have installed the drivers and the OS picks up on it just fine according to the hardware check. However, it appears there is no xorg.conf to modify in 11.4. At least it’s not in the customary /etc/X11 directory.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

about 11.3 the xorg.conf was depreciated in anticipation that
‘everything’ would be recognized, the correct driver installed and used…

obviously not everything works yet…

but, did you read the thread above, in post #3 where @syampillai advises
“Do 1-click install the driver from the openSUSE site. Just search for
wizardpen” at
Software.openSUSE.org" http://software.opensuse.org/

or, did you try that and it not work? (no messing with xorg.conf
required, but it is probably necessary to log out of the session and
then back in)…

and, you may have to do some adjustments in Configure Desktop > Hardware
> Input devices…

if you need more help please tell your desktop environment and version…

Thanks very much for your reply. I’m running KDE 11.4.

I did, indeed, try the 1-click install. Then, I did some tweaking on the .conf file and CRASH! Funny thing, though. I did a reinstall (I didn’t have a whole lot of customizing done yet) and afterwards, the tablet worked WITHOUT drivers. I’m assuming it’s being seen as the mouse. When I reinstall the driver… nada, zip, nuthin’. I delete the .conf, reboot, and the system locks up at boot. So, I’ve reinstalled for the third time and will use it without the drivers. At least it’s SOMETHING.
