general question on network manager and wireless

I’m running SLED sp2 and have a general question on wireless. My wireless is driven by ndiswrapper using the bcmwl5 drivers. Do I still need an entry in the network manager for wireless? I have a wired entry in network manger now and a wireless entry for wlan0. The wireless entry want me to put in network details like ssid, encry method, … It seems to me these details should be managed by the wireless icon and not the network manager.

If you’re using NetworkManager, you’ll need to configure your wireless through NetworkManager, it will bypass any other configuration options you have.
