How do you change the GDM theme? also how do i switch desktop
environment. I installed both kde and gnome with the installer but at
the login screen there is no sessions button :\

Someone correct me if I’m mistaken here, but I think I recall that there
is no utility to change the theme of the new gdm as there was before
(gdmsetup). It is probably some file tweaking now. I found this thread,

As for the desktops, I can’t help you there either; I installed both
KDE and Gnome and have an option at the bottom of the screen to change
the session at gdm.

you could try installing some other desktop manager, like kdm. Or try
uninstalling and reinstalling gdm, don’t know if that will help…

Either via YaST /etc/sysconfig editor or via the
CLI /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager for gdm
and /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager for kde, gnome etc.
