I’m reaching out to the community here for some help. I have searched for days trying to find a solution and have only found a partial solution. I have openSUSE 12.2 installed on my old gateway m-73 notebook, which I believe has the intel 915 graphics. The problem is with the backlight. I added the parameter acpi_backlight=vendor and I have functionality with the slider to adjust brightness, but when I use the fn+up or fn+down, my screen turns off. The above parameter gave me full functionality on suse 12.1, but for whatever reason it does not on 12.2. Is there anyway of making these keys functional?
