Game Store and OS12.1

Is there a problem with game store for 12.1?

After failing to find any decent games in my install of 12.1, I tried to find Game Store as I had it on* OS11*and it served its purpose, despite no *assault cube *being there.

Had to find it on the page

software.opensuse.org: Search Results

so, i do the one-click -install and get…

YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2012-02-05 14:43:57

nothing provides librpm-4.4.so needed by gamestore-0.1-10.6.i586

] break gamestore by ignoring some of its dependencies

 ] do not install gamestore-0.1-10.6.i586

Any help?

Hi
Sure you got the right one?
http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=gamestore&baseproject=openSUSE%3A12.1&lang=en&exclude_debug=true

That link took me to factory?

Tried here and it all installed fine, no issues with the 1-click
install.

Sure you have the main repositories enabled?

That link appears to go to the same one i used…

Same fault comes up.

Have checked and repos ok.

Also tried to search for the lib that’s missing manually, and it tells me that nothing was found…

confused cos i thought the 1-click install should take care of the dependancies

Right, I have tried various things and all seems to fail at needing this lib-rpm4.4.so

my package managers don’t seem to have a clue where it is, and searches wont locate it. Should it be possible to get it via another method? I’d have thought it should be found using a package search tool.

Hi
That lib is for 11.1??? Sure you haven’t got a strange repository
added?

The games SLE_11 is one I added following the first attempts at installing gamestore.

Any more help would be met with gratitude.

I didn’t have this, but do now and is still failing…

Hi
If you go into YaST Software management and select the repository view,
have you any packages installed from the SLE one, that will be the
cause of the issue. If not then just remove the SLE one and refresh
your repositories.

After spending ages trying things, the previous post included, i did a search for build in package manager and installed various build related RPMs after accepting the list, it tried again and in first time.

Thanks anyway.
