GA-N3150N-D3V - No way?

Hi again!

I bought a GA-N3150N-D3V, successor of the j1900 board by Gigabyte, which is doing very fine with opensuse 13.2. As I can’t get a VNC server running on Tumbleweed or Leap 42.1, so I stick to 13.2 for my headless machines…

I tried it with Secure Boot enabled/disabled in BIOS, with UEFI/legacy, but anytime after kernel and initial RAM disk I see

Starting udev

the show is over, display is turned of (VGA, only display to show BIOS. The built-in DVI never comes up before install completed, with Tumbleweed), DVD with installation medium stops spinning, GAME OVER…

Any known issues with this (relatively new) board? Any hint where to look?

Kind regards

…finally and in the end:

(DEL during boot) -> BIOS -> Security -> Secure boot -> UEFI enable and Custom keys.

…and on

Save&Exit page of BIOS choose

Boot from UEFI opensuse

after reboot the installation of 13.2 starts as usual.

Maybe it helps somebody in the future

…hard ride, the GUI was totally crippled on first boot, did manually the updates with zypper. Second boot in recovery mode was much better then, but apparently no way to make the DVI graphics work with the onboard Intel graphics…
