Full disk encryption without LVM

Hi,

Is it possible to install Leap and Tumbleweed with full disk encryption without LVM?
I used the expert partitioner to create /boot, /, /swap & /home and asked it to encrypt all partitions except /boot. I get the following error:


VOLUME_CRYPTSETUP_FAILED
System error code was: -3034

Any ideas?

You have to encrypt separately and each will then have a password. LVM is a container that allows setting up virtual partition and thus can be simply encrypted as one entity.

Installer does not support it. You can setup encrypted disk after installation and move your system to it - that’s possible.

Thanks, I guess I’ll live with LVM now…
