ftp install of 9.4

I’ve followed the steps at this link Cool Solutions: Manually Create A Network Installation Source For SUSE Linux Enterprise Server SP1
to set up the source for install with the only difference of substituting /suse for /installroot and of course sp4 in place of sp1.

When I select for ftp install (e.g. install=ftp://IP/dir
I get to the YaST Installation Settings screen and under
Software I see
cannot read package data from installation media. Media error?

Any ideas ??

This is not my area . . . but, take a look here Installation Sources - openSUSE, particularly under the XML file. In the sources media control file, I think it fully qualifies the directory. You changed that - perhaps that is the problem.
