2 problems… OpenSuse 10.3, Samba
all users logging into ftp server get same default folder, currently set to /svr/www. how to log user into /svr/www/userfolder?
user logs in and posts new files to /svr/www/userfolder, how to set permissions to allow web access?
If users login with their normal account this should bring them to their /home
Have a read here .
Better option than svr/www/userfolder

my intent is for user to gain ftp access to user website only. which is why I said /svr/www were all sites are located
from what I read on the vsftpd blogsite, which only mentions new creation, then my issue is just a matter of changing a line in my user setting file, right? I used YAst to create the user, were is the setting to make user option changes?
