From 12.2 to 13.1

Version 12.2 is no longer officially supported. It was suggested to me to upgrade to 13.1

  1. Will upgrading keep my settings? What is most important - will apache work the same? I have set up ssl and do not want to fix it again?
Other programs are not so problematic since I can change repositories and update them.

  2. It says that 13.1 will be ‘evergreen’. How can make sure to install/upgrade to evergreen version of 13.1? Is official DVD evergreen?

thanks for any kind of advices

Yes - however, you will have to work on them.

Online upgrade
method

Offline upgrade
method

You get a list of config files to review.
You use “meld olfconfig newconfig” and work on them, one by one.

Hopefully. Probably.

Look: many applications upgrade smoothly, with few changes. Some do not,
because the did a major overhaul in the interval. Read the release notes
of 12.3 and 13.1 and find out what they say about possible issues.

Normally, yes.

When the time comes. That’s… what, a year from now?
No, it is not “official”, and there is not Evergreen DVD.
