fresh instalaltion of tumbleweed yast software management issue makes it almost unusable

during installation and now on the desktop i am having issues with the software management part of yast, the icons that show if a package is installed or selected or whatever do not appear making it very difficult to work, i dont know if this is a bug in the software or maybe i did something wrong but this is a fresh installation of the latest tumbleweed with gnome desktop

i made some screenshots to show the error

i did some digging in bugzilla and found this https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1114654, seems like this is a known bug and should be fixed but for me it was not i had to do “zypper in libQt5Svg5” which is suggested here https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1114654#c12

Hi, welcome !!!

Thanks for reporting your findings. Which released version did you download?

cat /etc/os-release

And please be aware that for Tumbleweed ‘zypper dup’ is the only supported update/upgrade ( in fact it’s always the latter, since TW is released over and over again ).
