IM using the newest Version of linux and I’m following along this link Cool Solutions: FreeRadius Integration with eDirectory (theres a pdf link on that page).

On step 2 of installing freeRadius it asks me to install packages with yast. My problem is that a lot of these packages don’t show up in yast or that the names are different. I also added the offical SUSE repositories.

If some arnt there do you think it matters?

Can you post the list of such packages here?

  1. Launch YAST and install the following packages:
    cyrus-sasl-devel
    heimdal-devel
    heimdal-lib
    mysql-devel
    mysql-shared
    openssl
    openssl-devel
    postgresql-devel
    openldap2-client
    openldap-devel
    postgresql-libs
    python
    python-devel
    db-devel

Packaging of some of these software has already changed and not split as shown in this list.
Also, I had a look at that doc link and found that it refers to SLES and that again, an old version - 9.
