Forum title icon size

Any chance of making the section icons resizable or smaller?
On smaller screens like netbooks, or lower resolution display settings, they take up more space than the text which means you only ever display a few messages on a screen.

or, make them optional eye-candy the user can switch off, maybe…

well, whych: if you have a netbook you might be pleased to switch off
all the eye-candy and screen space wasting borders etc by
participating in the forums via nntp…

nntp is fine, but if you are looking for help on a fresh install, you don’t have to set up an nntp client if you use the forum directly.
Also, depnding on where you are, there can be a lag between your posting and the mesage showing in the forums (and vice-versa for replies).

i was not trying to sell you on the idea that nntp would not take
setting up or have other ‘problems’ you may wish to avoid…

i will however try to sell you on the idea that you can set up EVERY
known nntp client which has ever worked in any version of Linux, long
before the forum changes either the icon size or gives you a switch to
change their size…

on the other hand, if you are using firefox and have Addblock Plus you
might try right clicking on the offensive icon image and then left
click select “Addblock Plus Block Image…”

i have now offered you two possible avenues because it is often faster
to help yourself than it is to ask someone else (like the forum
programming staff) to help you…

ymmv

@DenverD
I’m not complaining or not wanting to help myself, but only adding a comment/suggestion for an improvement.
Also, a lot of eye candy is probably not appreciated by those that use the forum that are still on dial-up connections.
