Forum tells me to close browser to log out.

This one is new.

After hit “log out”, I get redirected to

https://forums.opensuse.org/AGLogout

which reads:

+++···································
NetIQ Access Manager
Session Logout
Your session has been logged out. It is recommended that you close your
browser to complete the termination of this session.
···································+±

What is this? Next it will tell me to power off the computer, like
Windows? :-?? :open_mouth:

(I saved a screenshot)

I had that for several months (running latest Firefox). If I only close that tab and later(even the day after) open a new connection to the forum I’m still logged in and online, but If I try to post something I have to log in again.

If I also close Firefox and start it up again and connect to the forum I will be not logged in and not online… Yes its annoying :.

regards

This is not an uncommon recommendation - my bank’s websites recommend
this as well. It is the most secure way of making sure someone else
isn’t going to access cached information.
