Recently, Carl (caf4926) noted that things had been getting busier in his
life, and he wasn’t sure that he would have the time to continue in his
role as a member of the administrative team here in the openSUSE forums -
after some discussion, he decided that he would step down from the
administration team (but remain as one of our Global Moderator team).
Carl’s done some great things as a member of the admin team, and we look
forward to his continued contributions as a member of the Global Mod
team. Thank you, Carl, for everything you’ve done for this community and
for the admin team - we look forward to your continued contributions in
your new role.
With a vacancy open in the admin team, the staff had some discussions,
and Malcolm (malcolmlewis) was nominated to fill the position in the
administrator team. With the unanimous support of the global moderator
and admin teams, we’re happy to announce that Malcolm has accepted the
position on the admin team.
Sargent: “Men, I’ve got good news. You all get a change of underware
today!”
The Men: [shouts of joy]
Sargent: “Ok, Roberts, you change with Simson. Wilson, you change
with Rosen. Lewis, you change with Fletcher…”
Such a valuable team member. Definitely will be felt as a loss, even though Carl will be here in his other capacities. I certainly hope he is, anyway!
The best to you, Carl, in your next steps!!!

Welcome, Malcolm!
… and an absolutely magnificent choice for a replacement!
Good for you, Malcolm! I am certain you will bring a lot of new value to that position!
