I found a post here in the forums from 2012 and apparently the password which I used for setting my user account here on the forums won’t let me change passoword nor email address. Please any idea?
Thanks for support

You have to change it through the Microfocus (new company name, same
interface) account management.
https://forums.opensuse.org/faq.php?faq=novfor#faq_changepass is the
answer to how to do this.
The benefit is that the password isn’t stored in the database used by the
forums - and as such, it’s more secure.

I finished on a 404 and in a redirecting loop… I’ll keep trying even if those instructions you linked… but those are telling me that I need to contact “you” for transferring the password to the forum software. So I wonder why do you think I opened this thread, is not considered contacting you.
Or maybe the instruction are wrong (for sure are confusing: I was reading the “change your email” section because that’s what I need to do)
Thank you
I will try to follow up on your experience.
In any case, the “Contact us” is at the very bottom of each forums page.
I am not sure if the redirecting loop has anything to do with it, but we had that some time ago and it could be cured by closing all forums windows and then removing all cookies from suse and attachmategroup sites.

No, you manage your password yourself - nobody from Microfocus/Novell/
SUSE/openSUSE will ever ask you for your password.

Ah, for e-mail, yes, you need to send a PM to Kim Groneman (kgroneman) on
the forums with your new e-mail address. That part is correct.
