forum.opensuse.org + IE7

Anybody notice that you can’t login using IE7 to this forum? I run Vista+IE7 at work and when I click on the register/login link nada happens.

Hi,

Sometimes I have trouble logging in, deleting the cookies for the
forum allows me to log in successfully; however, I don’t use Windows or
IE so I can’t test them.

Regards,
Barry Nichols

I know of no issues with IE in any version. Other than the obvious:)
Are you saying FF works? And IE does not.
And what exactly happens?

Internet Explorer = Useless Explorer

What can one expect from IE as they are not following W3C standards for standardization.

yours is the first complaint i’ve read here about problems using IE7,
so…hmmmmm… install firefox ??

or check with your network/windows administrator at work for technical
assistance…i’ve heard for years that IE7 “just works”

It’s a security feature, against the threat of open sources.>:)

Remove the forums.opensuse.org cookies from your browser as Barry_Nichols suggested.
Sometimes it happens in FF too.

It’s not a cookie issue. I have the system setup to always delete tmp browser files on close in both IE and FF. By tmp I mean cookies, history, logins, and etc.

LOL… I like that answer.

Nothing happens… literally. FF does work. When I click on the login link in FF I go to the login page. In IE, nothing happens… as in just sits there… With it’s thumb up it’s butt… as usual.
