Formerly working Intel Wireless 7265 Card no longer working in Tumbleweed

Hi folks, I just thought I’d leave this here in case anyone else came asking for help with a new Tumbleweed install. I just submitted a bug report to hopefully get this corrected, as I couldn’t see where it’d been reported yet. If I’m wrong, and this has been reported, or if a workaround has been found, I’d appreciate it if someone could fill me in.

This issue may very likely effect some other cards that rely on iwlwifi, and not only the 7265.

Anyway, here’s the bug report below:

Bug 1018973](https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1018973) - Intel Wireless 7265 card no longer works in Tumbleweed 2017-01-04 snapshot

During install process, Intel Wireless 7265 card is not showing as available in installer. This card is on an Intel NUC NUC5i5RYK. This card is found automatically and works fine on Leap 42.2.

When investigating issue, I stumbled across some other distributions running kernel 4.9, and they are (or were) having similar problems due to needing to incorporate newer firmware from upstream. Could this be the same issue as Tumbleweed is having?
