Installing opensuse goes fine IF I don’t include my 4 disc (software)RAID5 array. It is either stuck formatting or mounting it to /home.
It is a softlockup (my mouse pointer still moves) but I have no clue why, or how to get this sorted. I rally want to include this (4x 1TB) 2.73TB array to my install…

Are you sure it’s locked or is it just busy?
Are the disks in the array showing activity?
Can you open a shell and run ‘top’?
RAID building (parity generation) on a RAID5 of this size (dude, you have almost 3 TB of disk space) on a soft raid is going to take some time.
Be patient.
Even on a dedicated disk storage, with intelligent controllers and 10 kRPM Fibre Channel disks, it takes time to build array of this size.
