If the installation stalls or your mouse freezes, do the folowing trick. I just installed on a fresh HD.
Insert Opensuse DVD on the CD drive
on install menue, set the Kernel type to “No ACPI”
If your mouse is PS2, connect another USB type mouse and then start installation. You might see that your PS2 mouse freezes but your USB mouse will work. After installation, I still see that my PS2 mouse not working but USB mouse works. I know that it is fixable by typig some commands on the shell but I don’t care. If anyone knows how to get teh PS2 back to life after installation, please let everyone know. If anyone tries my method and is successful, let everyone know.:sarcastic:
