Fonts in Opera

Is it only me, or have anybody else noticed the difference in choice of
default fonts between the Opera Software builds and the latest openSUSE
buildservice versions? I have been so discontented with the fonts in
the latest offerings from update that I have installed the Opera
Software version rather than taking on the task of changing most of the
font settings in Opera preference.

I’ve not only noticed this, but I can make a guess: fonts Opera uses as standard might not be free all over the world…

hi,

just how did you do that? i have some issues with opera on opensuse, fonts being a mojor one. the other are:

  1. when i click on the address bar on windows, the whole address becomes highlighted, but not on opensuse,

  2. when i click middle mouse button on free space on the personal bar, normally i would get speed dial on windows, but on opensuse clipboard contents are being pasted and the browser loads the address.

these are small things but they get on my nerves. thank you for any help.

i know! i really hate that and hope they FIX WINDOWS because maybe i
don’t what to highlight the address, but just add a letter or two…

if i wanted to highlight i can click+swipe EASY…

i know, i just want my opensuse opera like windows opera. i got used to these little things. so basically it’s the OS dependant behaviour, ok.

For me one click places the cursor and two clicks highlight the entire
address. I think that is much to prefer over the behaviour you describe
from MS Windows.

@MultiplePersonality: No swipe needed here.

(Opera 9.64 Opera Software version, openSUSE 11.1, KDE 3.5.10)

You are probably right. I have noticed that some of the fonts are not
included with the DVD since 11.0, but are automatically downloaded
during the post instalation updates.
