Font smoothing in 11.3

I’ve been using 11.3 for a few days now and there is one thing I don’t like about the looks of it (I don’t know if this is the place to post this, but here we go):
The fonts on the interface need smoothing! They look awful the way they are. They look like the ink is spreading here and there.
Is there anything one can do to correct this??

Funny, I did everything there, but it doesn’t seem to have done the job! : /

And I confirm again after 24h of use: Not much seems to have changed. The fonts still look the same.

Thanks man! I was getting used to the bad font rendering… but I followed the steps and now my opensuse looks like a Mac rotfl!
