flickering on the screen

Hello,

I have a screen fickering issue. I figured that it had to do with the screen refresh rate. i checked the setting on my windows box and it’s set to 60, on the linux box it’s 50. The problem is that the linux box has has several values that can be changed(ex: vertical refresh rate, horizontal refresh rate etc…) and I dont know with one I have to change. It’s really confusing. Could someone please help me out with the right values to change?

Hi
The manual for the monitor will tell you the settings, else if you use
Sax2 you can get the montior information from the cd that was supplied
by using the “utility disk” button when configuring your card/monitor.

Sometimes it also helps if downgrade the color depth from 24 bits to 16 bits
