FlashPlayer is said to have wrong version when accessed by MySpace/Firefox/Suse 12.1

I just installed SuSE 12.1.

When i use FireFox to play music from a MySpace web page, i get an
error message saying my FlashPlayer is not OK.
The error message is “Flash is unavailable for playback. Your
Flash version is 11.1.102”. Then it gives a link to
upgrade but the upgrade version is the one that is installed.

If i acces this page:

www.adobe.com/software/flash/about]Adobe - Flash Player

i see the video confirming that flashPlayer is working correctly

If i access this page:
helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

It tells me i have version 11.1.102.63 while the latest
version should be 11.1.102.62. Is my version too recent for
Myspace?

If i install 11.1.102.62 instead i still get the error message when
going through MySpace music playing. Checking the page to verify the
FlashPlayer it now says i have 11.1.107.62 as it says i should.

If you could post a link we could access to see the problem 1st hand, that might help. I doubt that dropping back to version 62 would make much difference but should not hurt either. Be aware on the next new update you do, you will be back to the most recent unless you put a lock on the older version. I normally use Firefox for flash viewing and I guess I would like to know your Internet Browser of choice and anything about your video hardware and if you have loaded any proprietary video drivers, like nVIDIA or AMD for instance.

Thank You,

I went to MySpace (I don’t have an account)
Worked my way around it, playing music no problem

Remove all installations of flash player
Delete any instances of libflashplayer.so in
/usr/lib64/browser-plugins
or
/usr/lib/browser-plugins

Also check in .mozilla for any plugins directories that may contain libflashplayer.so and remove them

Now install Flash-Player from the software manager

Are you using NoScript? Because I initially got that message when I checked, and the solution was to allow scripts from a bunch of sites.

I did that and made sure Firefox was not running while i did it. Maybe that was me mistake.
It now works
Maybe removing the FlashPlayer while Firefox is running makes it keep some setting that
should not be kept. I dont know.

Thanke a lot.
