flashing web contents

i have a problem with any web flash content, which displays arabic language with inconvenient form that cann’t be readed

Hello and welcome here.

Please allways tell which version of openSUSE you are using, which desktop environment you are using and when, like here, you talk about contents from a web-site (HTTP), explain which browser(s) you use and the versions.

These are all things impossible to guess.

working for you.

like caf, i see no problem with it (other than me not being able to
read arabic)…compare what you see to what i see:
http://susepaste.org/96838901

if yours is not like mine then i’d suggest you:

  1. try turning off desktop effects…sometimes that helps…

  2. right click on the flash and the select to turn off/disable
    (something like) “Hardware Acceleration”

  3. use YaST to add a new user, log out and then back in as the new
user and try again…if that works it means something in your
    original user’s configs is messed up…but, i wouldn’t know
what…perhaps some tweak or personalization/desktop configuration
    customization setting you made…

  4. perhaps it is a video driver problem…if none of the above helps
then tell use your graphics/video hardware and which driver you are
    using…

as well, if you continue to have problems please take a screen shot
of what you see and upload it to susepaste.org and include the
address/link in your next post…

Same here. I went to your web-site using Fx. Like the others I can not realy read Arabic, but I do know something of the Arabic script and it is certainly readable I wanted to post a screenshot, but I see other sdid it already). It also plays the citations.

i know there is no errors in flash scripts working, but i’m talking about the arabic language content which is right to left language, while it is view from left to right so that it cann’t be readen.

ok, are you saying that the arabic in my image on susepaste is shown
correctly, as it is on your computer

so what is the problem…oh wait, look at this
http://susepaste.org/21474042 see the red mark around an
area where i can see here a line of arabic text moving from left to
right, trying to make you read the line from right to left??

if that is the problem i do not believe it is either a problem of
Linux, or the browser you are using or the flash you use…instead i
think the web site operator has chosen the wrong method of presenting
that moving line…

so, i’d suggest you contact the web site operator and ask her to fix
the problem…

i have seen lines of text moving from right to left (on for example
al jazeera) so i know it is possible to do it correctly.

When I view that page with oS-11.4, KDE-4.7.4 Google-Chrome-25
the Arabic text under the equalizer display traverses from right to left.

Also the Arabic drop-down menus appear to read right to left.

which is backwards if you need read from right to left while it scrolls

that is the way it is now, the reader first sees the last of the
letters/word/expressions/sentences appear at the right edge, and then
as the whole word/etc has moved to be visible the end of the word has
already disappeared on the left…

to be correct it must start on the left and move to right (so you see
the first letter/word/etc first and . . .)

watch the scroll here http://www.aljazeera.net/portal

see?

Now I feel even more stupid than usual. Thank you for spelling it out for me. I cannot actually read scrolling text in any direction or language, so I should have known better than to comment without thinking very carefully.
