Flash support

Hello,

I have installed chromium and chromium pepper-flash-plugin…however flash is still not working and I can not view videos. I found another thread here on the forums about flash and someone suggested to install NSPLUGINWRAPPER which I did, but that didn’t help either. I have downloaded the flash player from adobe website but this didn’ t work either. Any suggestions…

Hi
It’s nothing more than a library, if you extract the file from downloaded from adobe and then copy libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/ all should work fine… assuming chromium uses the path indicated?

Yes, Chromium is in usr/lib64 but its not in the same exact path usr/lib64/browser-plugins…when i try to move the file from downloads to the path usr/lib64/browser-plugins I get a persmissions error…i dont know how to move it from terminal just by gui.

I just downloaded CHROME and this problem has been fixed.

it sounds to me like html5 not a flash issue
you need chromium-ffmpeg from packman installed
http://packman.links2linux.org/package/chromium
the package from oss does not have mp4 (or any mpeg) support and will only play webm files
what is your repo list you need to do a dup with packman
tell us the output of

zypper lr -d
