This morning I woke up and started the computer and the first task was to check the sound. I just went to the MSN dictionary website and got the pronounciation of an English word.
I guess hardware makes some difference too. You and I have different hardware. **That is a minor issue when it comes to the sound emission. **
I mean some sound cards are better. I have a rotten sound card when compares to what is available today. I think it is a builtin card.
I changed the NIC card a long time ago because built in card is a rotten one.
I have a rotten graphic card too. As I don’t indulge games it is not necessary have an excellent graphic card.
I guess hardware makes some difference too. You and I have different hardware.
Totally agree.
I didn’t buy my box off the shelf, but built it from individual components. Anyone that can do that too, is going to be able to make things easier - if they choose carefully.
the BBC web site can tell where you are located by your IP number, which
automatically goes with every browser get/fetch transmission…and, the BBC
apparently doesn’t want to ‘serve’ the media (a film, i guess) to you…
which is their right, since it is paid for by the UK taxpayers–i GUESS if you
lived in the UK it would flow freely to you…freely flow but you would have
already paid for it via the tax system…

I don’t have a proxy server. I don’t run a network today.
This is a single computer. I have a cable connection (not ADSL).
My ISP gave me a cable modem via cable TV network.
I have 24Mbit per second.
I don’t think you have such high speed in the USA.
Once I met Jeff Pulver at a meeting.
He said Sweden is very advanced than the USA when it comes to speed.
Denver
It is very simple to find IP address and other details.
I have studied networking.
I pay money to the Cable TV and ISP. They pay to BBC.
**They told me. I have to pay a lot of money to get the Russian channel. I protested to the Cable TV company. They said Russians wanted more money. BBC, CNN, French, German, Spanish charge a reasonable amount of money.
Russians charge almost 6 times more than BBC and the others.
One thing you’re right on Gold, I just wish I had that 24MBit speed But as for a proxy server, there are free proxies on the net, most to get around such restrictions, try doing a Google search for them.

Uh… “the media is not available in your territory” ???
It is possible for websites to detect where you are (in a general
sense)… and obviously they don’t want people from outside their territory
or country to be able to view it.
You have several options:
You could move. Great Britain is a nice place to live.
There are quite likely proxies you could connect through to fake being in
the UK
