My Flash player in Firefox crashes immediately every time it’s needed.
I am running OpenSuse 13.2 on Gnome 3.14.2 with Firefox 36.0.4.
Does anyone else have this problem?

did you install browser plugin for that not only the adobe-flash but also adobe-flashplugin, for chromium it is adobe-flashpepper . and if you have also browser plugin it may be case of codecs so better check that codecs
what’s your install?
flash-player-11.2.202.442-1.2.i586
+
flash-player-kde4-11.2.202.442-1.2.i586
or
flash-plugin-11.2.202.451-release.i386
they don’t mix!
32 bit Firefox ,or the 64 in the mozilla ftp page ?
32 bit plugins or the 64 bit ones ?
i use the 64 bit Firefox from here
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/
and the 64 bit plugins linked from /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
to the $firefox_INSTALL_location/Firefox/browser/plugins
now the flash “11.2.202.442” plugin
(firefox/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so – from “about:plugins”)
works fine
now some sites are using the newer MICROSOFT ONLY!!! flash
for that
use Google chromium and pepper flash
Thanks for the replies!
I have Adobe Flash-player 11.2.202.451-2.45.1 (and flash-player-gnome 11.2.202.451-2.45.1 for the settings)
The flash player crashes immediately on opening any Firefox video/audio link.
One further bit of info that may relevant/helpful:
it seems that it will work, iff the freshplayerplugin 0.2.3.3.1 (from the packman repository)is also installed. (I can’t say I understand the connection, but that seems to be the way it is!)
hi hnimmo,
pleased to read you have sort it,
thanks for sharing
cheers
