flash not working AT ALL...

When I want to play a video on youtube (in Firefox), this is what happens:
1, the rectangular thing/screen appears, where the video should be played, but no play button, no nothing
2. it shows the play button, the bar and everything, but no sound, no video… a message appears saying it needs codec, but I have those installed (checked with Software Manager)
3. same thing, only it needs Sorenson Spark Video, but I can’t find such thing…

Flash-based applications on Facebook don’t work either…

It won’t work on Konqueror either (tried the Configure/Plugins stuff, but netscape plugin is listed there…)

Even though I have both Flash player AND the plugin installed… even re-installed, just to make sure… no use…

I’m new on Linux, so please… try to be understandable for novices too… ****

Are you using a 32 bit or 64 bit openSUSE?

can you open a terminal and issue:

ls -hal /usr/lib/browser-plugins

then copy/paste the results back to here

Have a lot of fun…

Here it is:

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4,0K nov 9 21.49 .
drwxr-xr-x 56 root root 20K nov 10 10.43 …
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 9,9M jul 31 10.40 libflashplayer.so

Thanks in advance

If you are 64 bit you need nspluginwrapper

zypper in nspluginwrapper

I’m using 64-bit openSuSE

It says it’s already installed… still then same :frowning:

please post result of these from a terminal

rpm -q flash-player nspluginwrapper
uname -a

Here they are:

nspluginwrapper
flash-player-10.0.32.18-0.1.1
nspluginwrapper-1.2.2-2.1.1

If it’s installed, try removing libflashsupport
