I dunno if my flash is just plain moody or what, but it depends what site I’m on
Examples:
Youtube and Google Video, I can play everything
BBC and Feedzilla, can’t play anything, tells I have the wrong version of flash (some sites say shockwave flash)
I had a look in Yast’s Software Management Module what versions were showing as available thinking I would try switching to one from another repository and all the versions that were showing were i586, the machine (and kernel) are x86_64. Not something I’ve needed to pay much attention to as the last time I had flash issues were with OS 10.3, but I thought there were 64-bit versions of flash?
Yes there is an old testing version of flash-64bit from adobe.com. Works for me. As 64bit should be more secure I hope I am magically saved from the bad guys.
Cheers caf4926 you’re a diamond, and I must be a bit thick cos when I opened your link I realised I’d used it before lol, was a good while back though
Working much better in firefox and chrome now, to akregator’s still complaining it ‘can’t play shockwave file’
Discovered in Yast that gnash had gotten in there somehow and wondered if maybe that was part of the problem, no idea what pulled gnash in tho, nothing came up as depending on it when I deleted it and I certainly didn’t install it myself unless it came in when I installed lxde the other day
