Flash for 64 bit?

Is it easy to get working? Thanks.

if you have the Flash rpm and the nspluginwrapper rpm then flash files should just play - I think that’s easy

On which distro and version? If openSUSE 11.3, I recommend you install openSUSE’s latest from the update repo. It will probably be 32bit, but should work well and be up to date with security patches. Of course it will add the necessary 32bit libraries for you.

Yeah, it’s 11.3. Cheers.

I think if you do some searching around, you will find adobe have given up on a 64-bit flash for linux.

Jup, here it is: Adobe Labs - Downloads: Flash Player 10 for 64-bit Linux

Look at this from the register:
Adobe euthanizes Flash 10.1 for 64-bit Linux • The Register
They aren’t bringing out any new 64-bit versions is the way I read it.

I can’t wait until something replaces Flash, maybe HTML5. In the stats for the just out of support 11.0. Flash accounted for 7 security updates, and Acroread for 10.

But I suspect it will be with us for a while…

Flash works for me, it’s NOT the 64-bit binary from Adobe.

I changed to the 32 bit version, as this seems better supported. All is fine now, except jerky playback at fullscreen. But I’m working on that.
