Well I have seen a lot of people with this problem as me in a new installation of openSuse 11.2 x86_64
this also applies if you are receiving the “no repositories found or no repositories defined”
if you already tried
ifup using traditional mode instead of knetwork manager
disabling IP v6 in Network Settings
in the boot loader ipv6.disable=1 does not work either
one user in the forums said resolv.conf gets recreatedif you deleted and is true
If you already try all this and you don’t have internet access
Go to Yast ---------> Network setting -----> hostname/DNS
you will see name server 1,2 and 3
then go to your router, modem, etc from your ISP
usually going in your web browser to 192.168.0.1
then find the option that says
Primary DNS Server and paste that ip to the name server 1
same thing if you have
Primary DNS Server and paste that ip to the name server 2
and this will fix your problem I hope it workshttp://forums.opensuse.org/images/smiliesnew/wink.png
