Fix: Vuze (Packman x86_64) broken for openSUSE 11.2.

For those who installed Vuze from Packman for 11.2 x86_64 will find that it won’t start at all - well that’s because the .so files in /usr/lib64/Azureus/* are causing problems (will cause a symbol not found in a cairo lib) which you can verify by looking at /tmp/Vuze.log

Temporary fix is to REMOVE all the .so files from that location (as root) and then start Vuze - hopefully Packman will rollout a fix for this issue “soon”.

That’s good info.

lol, who uses this pig hog? :stuck_out_tongue:

Dunno but I helped a guy earlier with the issue in IRC so I thought I’d share what’s causing it

Thanks. Doing so allows pig hog to start but it beeze buggy. But thanks for the information.

Gave this a try, and it worked. OS 11.1 x64, KDE, Vuze 4.2.0.8. The only difference on my system was I didn’t find any log files, but now Vuze actually comes all the way up again.

There’s also a 4.3 version out now . . . supposed to be smaller & lighter, but not available from Packman yet. It’s on the Vuze website, if anyone’s interested.

Got a report in IRC that this hack is no longer needed - the .so/Cairo package has been updated to work properly.

Scratch one problem.

Thanks for the info.
