If you do not have Bluetooth Plasma will stall for about 25 seconds when you login after the Plasma 6 upgrade. Also, if you right click in Dolphin it’ll stall for about 25 seconds.
These stalls only happen one time but they’re very annoying.
The fix for Plasma has been to remove KDE Connect from the tray by disabling it.
You can fix Dolphin’s right click menu stall by going to Settings > Configure Dolpin > Context Menu and and un-checking Send File Via KDE Connect and Share. Both use Bluetooth.
However, if you go to Yast > Service Manager > Bluetooth and set the Bluetooth Service to start manually instead of at boot, you’ll be able to keep your KDE Connect and Share menus with no issues. You can also use the KDE Connect tray icon.
If you don’t have Bluetooth then you don’t need the service. Do not forget to set the BT service to start at boot if you add a BT Dongle. I think it’ll start manually but you might want to set it to start at boot if you’re going to use it.
