Is there a way to completely uninstall the addons that opensuse automatically adds to Firefox or do I have to manually uninstall and reinstall a clean version? I would have searched further on this but I don’t have time to enter a captcha for every possible search phrase - I just spent two months trying to get some other issues working and as this workstation is used for a SoHo business I just don’t have the time to waste on things like this - I work 16 hours a day as it is. The app hangs when accessing menus, images are not displaying correctly, and I can’t determine if there may be an issue with these addons causing issues with some of our XUL apps being accessed by clients using an OS that does not require these addons to be installed.
openSUSE-addons? Hm… they might be provided by the package ‘MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE’, so try uninstalling it.
Why not just disable them in Firefox? That way they won’t be accessed.
For a 64-bit system they are in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins, if you are wondering where they are installed.
Hi fshost, welcome here,
Could you please give some more info? Like
openSUSE version
Firefox version
Desktop used
And best also a list of things you’ve already tried.
