Firefox view page source not utilizing sessions

Trying to view the page source for protected page(ie you have to be logged in to view it) results in getting back the html for the login page. For some reason, not only is FF making a new request, it is not sending the session data back. This makes debugging impossible. I am not sure if this is a Firefox issue, a borked config(I never mess with about:config) or yet another broken package in the repos. This behavior started sometime after FF was updated to 13, but not when it was and continues with 14.

Has anyone else had this issue?

What happens when you use e.g. Konqueror?

And please allways state what version of openSUSE you use. And what desktop environment.

I have openSUSE 11.4 here and KDE and FF 13.0 andd when I view the source of this very page (where I am loged in in the forums), I see your text somweher in it. Thus it is not a login page.

12.1 with whatever version of KDE.

Konqueror doesn’t have this issue, either does Chrome, Opera or SeaMonkey.

Anything is possible.
But, if you’re really serious about web page debugging you should install the Firefox plugin Firebug.
