Since some recent updates (10 days ago) my laptop got problems with reproducing videos (Facebook videos don’t open) and streaming videos (like movies from Putlocker) have no audio.
On Chromium it’s almost everything ok, though sometimes on Youtube I have to refresh the page to start the video.
I was using freshplugin before the update and everything was working. After these issues I installed Flash (removed freshplugin automatically) but nothing changed.

try
zypper dup --from 10
your flash is from packman right?
zypper se -si flash-player
yes but with adobe’s update of npapi flash from 11.2 to 24 freshplayerplugin is no longer necessary, having an npapi and a wrapped ppapi version of flash might break things
zypperd dup --from 10
this fixed the Facebook videos issues, now it works thanks, but the streaming videos are still without audio.

OK
But if flash player isn’t installed and a user is also using chromium
Are you saying the fresh plugin will no longer work with FF?

no I’m saying npapi flash is at the same version as ppapi (pepper) flash and there is no need for freshplayerplugin anymore the fresh devs have stated that not all functions are exported from ppapi, installing freshplayerplugin overrides the npapi plugin and breaks a few web pages (for me) I’m saying the OP probobly has mixed packages or maybe a bad firefox addon, he should try firefox in safe mode Firefox->the tree horizontal lines on the right->the question mark->restart firefox with addons disabled and see if video’s play
the audio issue might be pulse related as I do believe pulse stores per application audio settings maybe deleting the pulse config files might fix things?
but when it comes to multimedia doing a vendor change to packman is generally the first step.
I’m on LEAP 42.2 and both Firefox and Chromium play video’s fine both html5 and flash objects
