it’s not easy to a newbie to understand the opensuse intricacies and aid for simple things is welcome
The standard repos currently have firefox 40.0.3, so you should have been able to update to that without problems.
Firefox 41 will probably be there in a few days. I can wait.
There’s actually a separate Mozilla repo available, and that has 41. They test it there for a few days before putting in the standard update repo.
I’ll wait for the normal update.
Maybe there are security issues. But I run firefox as a normal user. I never run it as root. So the risk seems acceptably small for me to wait until the update shows up.

you have 13.2 and you added a Tumbleweed repository?
no you should not do that Tumbleweed is a different flavor of openSUSE that will break something.
post your current repositories
zypper lr -d
if you have any Tumbleweed repositories remove them all as they are not for 13.2.
Firefox is updated regularly if you use kde you will see an update in apper, or just run
sudo zypper up
Seeing how the 13.2 DVD is quite old there should have been a lot of updates available.
ps there is an semi official French forum if you have issues with English ask there
