Firefox update - when?

I use OpenSUSE 11.3. I can see, why there are not so many updates as in Ubuntu, but now I start to doubt. Since quite a long time newer version of Firefox is available (3.6.8) and I am still stuck with 3.6.6. Did I mess something up or is it still not updated? And if everything is OK, when will this update get issued?

You can add the mozilla repo…
Or do you already have it

I am not interested in repo harvesting. I am just curious, why it is still 3.6.6.

Because Ubuntu uses upstream updates, openSUSE does not.
Firefox will remain 3.6.* in openSUSE 11.3 unless you add a Build Service repo
But an update will arrive in time.

I didn’t get it quite right. You mean, that Firefox will stay 3.6.6 until OpenSUSE 11.4?

It will stay at 3.6 and whatever version 3.6 goes to. ATM it’s 3.6.6
I have 3.6.8 from the mozilla repo and FFox 4 from the mozilla alpha repo (But I’m not suggesting you use FF4).
But 3.6.8 should come thru the openSUSE Update repo eventually.

I think that’s all correct.

Oh, OK. Now I see the big picture. The update is yet to come. I’ll leave this topic open. Maybe someone from FF update team will be able to give some insight on deploy ETA. I am eager to get this new version from official repo as soon as possible.
