If I open any local file, there is no problem.
I tried to reinstall the firefox using Yast. Still no change.
If that doesn’t help, and you are using Firefox 14.0.1, you can Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems | How to | Firefox Help, and create a new profile, which will save all your bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, cookies, and form fill information.
Tried the safe mode, still same issue.

User configuration for firefox is in .mozilla (hidden in your home folder). You can back that folder up (by moving or renaming it) to start with a fresh profile.

Check your Internet gateway settings. Something there is broken. Have
you changed Internet modem or provider?
