FireFox on openSUSE Tumbleweed / Video glitch

My 1st post

I had to install the following for Firefox that came with my brand new Tumbleweed installation to work well.

Normal ?

sudo zypper install gstreamer-plugins-good gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-ugly

Welcome to the openSUSE Forums! Firefox on Tumbleweed “works well” out of the box, but decoding some formats is restricted for legal / patent reasons, see Restricted Formats.
To play those formats you may have to install proprietary codecs from third party repositories.

Hi, welcome here. A couple of things:

  • Do not trust AI “solutions”. They are often plain hallucinations by the AI tool.
  • Do not trust Twitter as a source of information. For obvious reasons
  • Please do not post Twitter links, rather post “On Twitter’s GROK I found this: ”

Hi, nice to meet you here stranger

  • I agree for AI, it’s risky… Although that from time to time they do help a lot. GROK saved me several time. With openSUSE, using GROK, I was able to make my Canon MultiFunction printer
  • I love X and their community notes… Been using it a lot since 2019 and for now it’s one of the best source of info I would recommend on the net. For Linux and computing, I prefer Reddit and forums.
  • I posted a GROK link… Yes we see x.com but it’s a GROK link. I use GROK through my x account so that is may be why you though it was not a GROK link

TKs…
