I have Firefox set to ask me each time before a cookie transaction. Some
sites (including opensuse homepage) involve a large number of them. I found
out that when there are about 26 cookie transactions queued, Firefox hangs.
It happens when the request for transaction is faster than my clicks about
the decision of whether to accept the cookies or deny them. Has anyone got
into this situation? I would prefer a more elegant way than hanging up.
Please suggest.

Under such conditions the vmSize also increases drastically.
What is the benefit of according every cookie set on you’re computer ?
You also can just block cookies from suspicious sides.
Most cookies are harmless
Or choose cleared cookies when you close firefox

I know about these options. I was just trying this option of manually
checking what cookie transactions take place. When I am working seriously I
set it back to expiring cookies as soon as I close Firefox.

I am openSUSE 10.3 with KDE3 and Firefox’s behaviour is same.
I used to use firefox on Vista and I never had problems. But with suse 11.0 sometimes (not very often) it crashes without showing any error messages, it just disapear.
