hi,i’m becoming crazy,i loaded suse at home too with firefox as internet browser, everytime i open a pdf file it takes 1/2 minutes to open it (in the meantime it loads…i don’t know what…for very little files too),i’ve firefox with windows too but i’ve not this problem…
I use the ‘PDF Download’ add-on/extension for Firefox to get past this.
For some reason the plugin from Adobe, when asked to download a file,
really, really sucks. If you use this plugin it lets Firefox download
the file and THEN has Reader open it (depending on your settings and
your selection) and it makes everything much nicer. Otherwise if I
can’t get this plugin (another person’s computer) I just download PDFs
and open them separately.
Good luck.
