I don’t use gnome, but I usually install it as an “emergency” desktop.
This way though, every time firefox needs to launch an application, it launches a gnome app, instead of the corresponding KDE app.
In particular, i cannot get rid of file-roller and eye-of-gnome. If I change the settings in the “applications” tab in the options dialog and choose a kde app (ark, gwenview, with their full path) either nothing happens, the applications starts but it does not load the file or the file is displayed, but the application freezes.
Amd I am doing something wrong? Am I using the wrong config options?
And more generally, how can I get a more QT/KDEfied firefox?

I do not have GNOME installed. I recently ran Firefox from CLI and found a few errors due to GNOME bindings. The errors were few and over a long time of browsing. So I would like to know more about
the real picture.
